How Event Organizers Can Help Their Guests with Better Skincare - Giovanna Alexsandra, Sunless Glow Beauty Bar

Welcome to How To Be A Host podcast, hosted by Charles Ewudo. The show features experts, veterans, movers, and shakers in the nightlife and hospitality worlds here to show you everything you need to know about hosting a party.

Skincare is a huge part of the nightlife goer’s experience and event organizers need to understand how beauty plays a role in improving guest engagement. Nightlife goers care deeply about their appearance from the way they look to the way they feel which ultimately can increase event attendance. So how can event organizers help their guests think about their skincare routine?

In this episode, Giovanna Alexsandra, Owner of Sunless Glow Beauty Bar who is a beauty expert shared her insight into how event organizers can inspire better skincare with guests. Giovanna emphasizes the importance of educating clients and providing aftercare information to build trust and loyalty. She shares her approach to customer experience, focusing on making clients feel comfortable and valued.

Giovanna talks about her marketing strategies, including offline efforts like passing out flyers and connecting with the community. She explains the importance of face-to-face interactions and building personal relationships with clients.

We also went in-depth on how beauty can build self-confidence. “Skincare is very important because we want to look good to feel good. It’s all about your confidence inside, also, which is the blowup.” Giovanna emphasized.

"There is balance. You can have a good time, have a couple cocktails next day, maybe, like, have some beet juice, because that really cleanses the liver."

Giovanna shares her approach to event activations, including setting up booths and engaging with attendees. She discusses the importance of aligning brand partnerships with her values and goals. We discussed her event activation at the W Hotel and how more brands are embracing cross-industry collaboration to fuel growth. She also emphasizes the need for selective partnerships that align with her brand and mission.

Highlight: The best partnerships and collaborations are when both sides are in alignment on value and vision. Understanding those core values and making sure that those values align with partners is key. Not all partners have shared values.
